This is so exciting! Dozens of people have been telling me that they've been checking my blog for new posts, and are disappointed not to see any! Ok, well, maybe not exactly dozens.  How about TWO, to be exact. So, for those TWO, here is my new post:

It's pretty sad, really, but the other day I commented to Tim (my husband of 31 years) that I've already lost interest in blogging. Surprised? Not me. See, I am a starter. I like to start projects. I like to dream up ideas and start them, but I am not so fond of completing them. Oh, I do. I do eventually complete some of them.... but many I am just content to start.

Like blogging. I was all excited about starting a blog. You'll notice that lovely little verb, starting. And so now that I've officially started a blog, I am not sure how good I'll be about continuing to blog.

If it doesn't take too much planning and forethought, I will continue to blog. And I am going to try to post at least once a week.

Is there a saint for Persevering? I think I need to research that. I could use his/her help.

Change of subject: I am a little worried about the robin I am still seeing around the house. He doesn't actually come to the feeders and eat, but he's been hanging out near the deck. Shouldn't he have flown south already? He hasn't come close enough for a picture, but I swear! There's still a robin in my yard!

I'll leave you with a few photos of some of the crafts I had on display at today's craft show. It was a slow show, but a good time to hang out with my mother.

Blessings to you!

First Snow

I know, I know. Not the most creative title, but how can one not get excited about the first snow of the season? And what a beautiful coating it was. Although most of it is melted away I did get a few shots this morning when it was still fresh. There is nothing so lovely as a pure white snow - it renews the soul and makes all the world look clean and pretty.

Fresh Carrots

I did a bit of prep work for this blog. Not much....I looked at two blog sites, briefly, and decided this would be the one that would work best for me. Took all of about 10 minutes to reach that decision. I can't say I've put a lot of effort into this site - hoping Blogger will cover for me. That's my specialty, you know... Winging it. No sense wasting too much time, or any time, for that matter, thinking about it.

Today I dug a few carrots, brushed off the big clumps of dirt and tied them with twine. I walked down the hill to the old barn with a nail, a hammer, a bottle of water, the carrots and my camera. Fortunately, there were a number of nails in the barn that I could use for hanging the carrots, as I lost my one and only nail within minutes. But then I happily shot a whole series of photos! I hoofed it back up to the house. At the front porch I decide to take a photo of the carrots with the one and only pumpkin decoration I have this year. I was feeling pretty joyful about my creative venture. Actually made me smile.

That's when I discovered - no memory card in my camera! Sigh. So, I did the whole thing again, this time in high speed as I only had 15 minutes before I needed to leave for a very important appointment! I did get it done, however, and here we have it: my first ever blog post. Whoopee!
